EYFS Systematic Phonic Reading Programme and Tracker
Individual reading programme to support children with their phonics individually. Each child to be provided with a Letter and Sounds Booklet. Within this there is guidance on how parents/carers can support phonics at home with links to websites, resources and ideas.
At the back of the booklet there is a log where you as class teacher can keep track of where the child is within their reading.
Word boxes which I have created myself to match the Letter and Sounds guidance for teaching sets. I.e. Word box 1 will contain s,a,t,p. Each word box progress through the sounds and within the booklet it will cover Phase 2 and 3 phonics.
Keywords include high frequency words as well as ‘tricky words’ or sometimes known as ‘camera words’. The camera words are highlighted in bold font. These have been slotted between the word boxes as they progress through them to ensure they are learning words which they are likely to come across when reading phonic books.
A reading tracker which you can keep track of where each child is.
I made this myself and I assess the whole class every 1st week of each term to see if they have retained the sounds. It helps me identify gaps to teach my phonics and to plan for any interventions where neccesary. I find that parents are very supportive as they can see just how much the children need to learn to help them secure their early reading skills. This could be used with any child who does not have secure Phase 2 or Phase 3 Phonics.
Included within the pack:
-Letter and Sound Booklet
-Word boxes
-Keywords
-Word box and Keywork tracker logs (seperate files)

Number zoo flash cards number recognition
Flashcards number 0 to 9 for early number recognition. Each flashcard comprises of a 'zoo' character which goes along with a story. For example,
Number 0 is entitled 'Greedy zero' who is a big gorilla who eats all of the bananas... and this is why he is called greedy zero! The zero is the key feature, along with all the numbers on the animals, as it helps children to visualise and remember the number.
All of these numbers have been inspired by a programme which is no longer available to purchase as it is discontinued. I have hand drawn and painted the animals. All animals number 0-9 are available to print and are sized A4.

Report templates EYFS
EYFS Development Matters - Report Templates with statements with an exceeding (more able), expected (core) including an upper core and an emerging (less able) statements. These are generic for a typical child so they would need to be adapted where neccesary to be an accurate description of the child you’re writing a report on. There are statements for the core areas; Literacy - writing and reading and Maths - number and space, shape and measure. These have been written and used by me on two years worth of reports.
Baseline on entry assessment booklet EYFS
This booklet is designed for Reception Teachers to obtain an ‘on entry’ or ‘baseline’ assessment of their new children. This booklet has key statements for each area of development designed to provide the teacher with a best fit judgement of where the child is working within the age bands provided by Development Matters. It does not include statements for every aspect of each area as it is designed to give a best fit judgement for your initial on entry assessment. Instructions on how to use this document is also included. Pages could be printed and put into an assessment folder or printed and put into a binded booklet. An easy to use tracking document. I use a highlighter where by I just highlight if the child can do it and I put a little dot to show I’ve checked them but they’re not able to meet the statement. I’ve found this tracker very easy to use and has given me a good idea on children’s starting point. I can also then refer to this to immediately identify roughly my different levels of ability in the classroom and who may need some initial intervention or additional support.
