Apapa's Assemblies

Average Rating5.00
(based on 6 reviews)

Interesting and meaningful assemblies aimed for KS2,3 and 4. Each one has a presentation and a script and should take 10 - 15 minutes to deliver but are easily adaptable for other lengths of time and age groups. Each assembly is an aspirational story about bravery, kindness, resiliance or endevour. You are paying for the script. The images are provided free and are, therefore, exempt from the 1988 CD&P Act

This resource is designed for KS2 but may be suitable for a wider audience. Pupils are helped to make sensible decisions about staying safe online and about the dangers on Internet and gaming addiction. It is based on the NC KS2 / KS3 requirement to understand ways to use technology safely. It is a self contained workbook which can be printed or completed electronically. It has two extension activities which require Internet access.

I have created 7 paper based resources related to computing such as viral hoaxes, Internet addiction, robotics etc. Each one involves a reading task and a series of written questions based on Blooms taxonomy and an extension / enrichment activity at the end. They should take between 30 minutes and one hour to complete. They are designed to help pupils understand a range of ways to use technology safely, respectfully, responsibly and securely and would be suitable for KS2 or KSS3 pupils.

Aspirational story demonstrating resilience and endeavour. Alan Turing’s wartime code breaking work, his subsequent prosecution for gross indecency and the eventual acknowledgement of his role and his posthumous contribution to the Turing Law amnesty. Interesting and meaningful assembly suitable for KS2 and KS3 with a presentation and a script. Should take 10 - 15 minutes to deliver but are easily adaptable for other lengths of time and age groups. You are paying for the script. The images are provided free and are, therefore, exempt from the 1988 CD&P Act

This resource is designed for KS3 but may be suitable for a wider audience. Pupils are helped and challenged to evaluate information about the coronavirus, to evaluate sources and spot fake news . It is based on the NC KS3 requirement to understand ways to use technology responsibly. They are also transferable skills in critical digital literacy (CDL). It is a self contained workbook which can be printed or completed electronically. It has two extension activities which require Internet access. I have completed many resources on CDL for all key stages. Please feel free to get in touch.
