Religion and Early Life
Collection of lessons on Religion and Early - mainly focused on Buddhist and Christian views towards abortion and the alternatives to be considered. Each powerpoint was used for a double lesson.
These resources were written for AQA Religious Studies, although I'm sure they're pretty transferrable, the end of unit exam is based on AQA GCSE exam questions though.
Do TNC do more harm than good?
One off lesson looking at the impact that TNCs can have on developing countries, focusing on the multiplier effect and leakage.
One of the activities is based around my local town so will need adapting.
Population Change
Notes and exam questions driven lesson on population change; what it is, how its measured and the reasons for this.
Does the UK have a race problem?
Looking at race from a Religious Studies point of view, links to extremism and nationalism and their causes.
Link to video in powerpoint, contains strong language and offensive views, watch before showing any classes.

Two / three lessons on international aid, depending on length of lesson or ability of group.
What are the main types of aid? Why do we give them? Is it only to benefit the recipient?

Measuring Development GDP HDI Gini and Social Measures
Lessons introducing and developing the themes of development of nations and how we can compare them.
First lesson looks at GDP, GDP per capita and HDI - what they mean and what this tells us about the nations - all based around a key question. Visual starter game included.
Gini Coefficient homework - worksheet to read and questions to start the next lesson.
Second lesson is more notes based, reintroducing some key terms with the use of images to help develop learner's understanding. Scatter graph question - helping tick a numeracy box -great way to demonstrate learning. Exam style questions to finish the lesson off.

Is it ever okay to experiment on animals?
Looking at the scenarios where it's consider okay to experiment on animals and the reasons why this is the case.
Begin lesson looking at specific and seemingly harmless ways animals have been experimented on, are these okay? Have humans benefited ? Is that enough to justify it?
Look at the definitions of cloning and genetic engineering, with link to a Vice video. Look at specific human break through from animal experiments, do these justify experiments now? There is then a GCSE Religious Studies exam question.
Link to a video about cloning a mammoth, is this okay? Any different to animal experiment or cloning on live animals?
Stakeholder Conflict with Lesson Plan
Observation (internal) lesson with full detailed lesson plan included.
Looking at how and why stakeholders clash - based on the admittedly dated case study of Tesco and the horse meat scandal. Group work activity looking at the possible ways that Tesco may have caused different groups to clash.
Homework sheet included for learners to examine in detail how different groups could clash.

Looking at how we view different groups and where these feelings come from and whether there is any justification for this. Looking at the different types of cause for discrimination with several real life examples.
Links to videos on Srebrenica and Islamophobia in the UK videos to show how Prejudice develops given time to.
