I am a PE teacher who has taught the subject for 14 years. I teach A Level to the OCR specification. I have worked for Ofqual to accredit the new specifications, so know the new A Level PE course inside out. I also teach G.C.S.E PE to the Edexcel spec. I am a practical moderator at GCSE level and an exam marker at A Level. I also teach BTEC level 3 Unit 1 and I have worked again for Ofqual to look at this vocational course and to compare it with others, namely the OCR technicals.

OCR A Level PE Sports Psychology AO1-AO3 Student Revision Sheets (New Spec 2016+)

These are 9 word document landscaped sheets covering all the topics in AS Sports Psychology for the OCR syllabus. Each page has a table with columns to ask the students to AO1 (define), AO2 (explain), AO3 (evaluate/compare) and also to give a practical example for each part of the topic. E.g. For Personality, Eynsecks Trait theory. And 4 word document landscaped sheets covering all the Year 13/A2 topics from Attributions to Stress Management. Ive used it for my students in preparation for their mocks. Some of my weaker students ticked the boxes, my more able actually filled it in briefly. Good for lesson obs as differentiation is very evident!! Its clear to see who knows what and who needs more in depth learning/consolidating knowledge.

This is a revision document for the new specification AS Level PE course for OCR. It covers all the AS topics from Bones, Joints, Movements, Muscles, Action Potention/All or None Law, CV at Rest, CV at exercise, Respiratory at Rest, Respiratory at Exercise. Each page is devoted to one of the topics and has enough detail for the students to show if they know that area or not. I have used mine as revision for our mocks and as display posters in the room. Might be useful too as a carousel of activities or get them laminated onto the tables.

OCR AS PE Sports Psychology Student Knowledge & Understanding Tracker (New Spec 2016+)

This was a resource I got off the TES from someone else, and it prompted me to update it for the new spec. It is for the AS OCR Sports Psychology side of the course. Each of the 9 topics has a page each with a list of tasks a student can do. E.g. Define the term Arousal. The student can then RAG rate their ability and below is a list of what their next approach will be. E.g. to ask a peer, independent research etc. Totally free as i've revamped someone else's work. If its useful I will do the other topics. See what you think?

This is a word document of the team sports you can choose for GCSE PE (new spec 2016+) for Edexcel. Each Sport has the 5 bands/levels and is over 2 pages, so you can put it into a plastic wallet and flip it over if your students are better/worse!! Ive taken this from the Edexcel website but made the criteria fit over 2 pages, instead of carrying the whole NEA 100 page document around at moderation events!! NOTE the following sports are included (I am sorry, we don't do lacrosse, hurling, etc!!) Gaelic Football, Volleyball, Rugby League, Tennis, Table Tennis, Squash, Rugby Union, Netball, Hockey, Dance, Handball, Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Football. PLEASE NOTE: Football, Hockey & Dance are over 3 pages (as the criteria is so long - GK's!!).

This is an end of unit test for the Cardiovascular System section of the NEW SPEC 2016 Edexcel GCSE PE course. It starts with a cover sheet (name, target grade etc with a FAR marking section to give feedback), and the grade boundaries to the new 9-1 scale (this is a guess, but once the boundaries are confirmed it can be updated). The next page has the specification for the module with the question numbers that test that particular section. Then there's the test with a student reflective box at the end. The other word document is the ANSERS in red, so its obvious. I am going to use them for my students and collate their results on a big overview sheet. Still working on that one!!

It contains a contents page where students can RAG rate the different topics, like Cardiovascular system at Rest or Joints, muscles & Bones. Then there are several questions per topic with spaces to the right for the students to answer. Its a good tool to use in revision weeks to see what they know and what they don’t!!
