An author of several books, I also teach English in various disciplines from first contact with English, English language development, Functional Skills, and GCSE where my programmes are usually over-subscribed, and I find the demand for my services never seems to relent. The language building of my English language programmes seems to serve a gap in English teaching on the GCSE 9-1 Programmes, where learning are expected to suddenly deconstruct language with terminology and grammar rules that are alien to them. My resources on TES reflect my direct classroom experience, and as a fan of Bloom's taxonomy, my methodology is purely developmental for my learners. I sincerely believe that putting the fundamentals in place enables our learners to take ownership of their own literacy development.
