This fantastic package on the book: Leaf, includes resources you need to teach wonderful lessons on argument writing. Children will get a chance to understand and sympathise with ‘Leaf’ and the animals. They will be able to understand the two sides and decide what the solution should be. The lesson would be most effective, if the children don’t know what the ending of the story is.

This fun filled pack contains all that you need for teaching and learning rhyming couplets. Children will be able to produce rhyming couplets like the Roly-Poly Bird in the story. They can choose between the two different scenarios (the big dead tree or the big dead tree and the monkey’s cage) and write a poem based on that.
