Newton’s laws are presented using fun and memorable animated images including Wile-e-Coyote and Super Mario. Included here are notes, a multiple choice quiz, a worksheet to use with the pHet interactive and two other illustrative worksheets.
These lessons contain ray diagrams, power calculations and lens practicals. Quizzes, question sets and practicals are in the presentation. This presentation was originally used to teach the topic at GCSE and stop short of the A-level lens equation.
An A-level Physics lesson on sampling waves. Originally used for OCR Advancing Physics unit 3. Contains an iPad sampling task, a paper-based sampling activity, five pages worth of exam questions with hints and worked answers. The process of sampling is carefully explained using clear animated diagrams. Exam questions cover equations for bit rate rate and signal:noise ratio.
This lesson uses carefully chosen examples with picture representations as well as chemical formulae. There are two differentiated worksheets (embedded in in the ppt) with answers and a plenary quiz. Thoroughly tried, tested and recommended.

An exciting A-level lesson on pixel resolution. Originally used for OCR Advancing Physics Unit 1. Contains an animated introduction to resolution, a very carefully worked example, an introductory starter quiz and ten pages worth of differentiated exam questions with answers and explanations. Useful for computer science too.
Students learn a visual technique to remembering lists of words. Testing before and after learning the technique will reveal a massive improvement. The brain is much better at remembering images than words alone - examples of applying this to academic subject matter are given. The presentation links to a video clip of a world memory champion describing his technique.
This resource would be excellent for a whole year group activity or PSHE lesson.
The pdf file allows students to independently practise the AQA A level Physics Engine Cycles and Graphs topic. Either in the classroom or at home this is a great lesson. A relaxing half hour for the teacher! Students use this pdf file on iPads/ tablets/ laptops. The emphasis is on student independence. Lots of guidance is available for incorrect answers. The file contains 67 hyperlinked slides with twenety questions to test their understanding as they go along. Think of it as a very interactive textbook, or a bit like Ceefax or Teletext from the olden days.
Performance will vary through different apps and platforms. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is optimal on “single page view”, Outlook and OneNote are inferior.
Also available as interactive eBooks;
GCSE Energy
GCSE Radioactivity
Young Modulus
Moments of Inertia
Flywheel Practical
pV graphs for Engineering
Engine Cycles and Calculations

Originally used for a fantastic remote learning lesson for AQA A level Physics Engineering Moments of Inertia topic. Using these resources students will carry out a virtual practical to measure the moment of inertia of a flywheel. No teacher input required!
The pdf file allows students to independently master the underlying equations for the flywheel practical using an interactive book. In the second section of the lesson students take measurements of a flywheel from a YouTube clip to use with the equations.
A great lesson, very strongly recommended. After completion, students will be able to conduct the same practical independent of the teacher. A justified boast for a thorough and engaging lesson.

Six splendid puzzles to display on your interactive whiteboard. These make great lesson starters and are an essential part of a teacher's toolkit. You probably already know the River Crossing puzzle. The puzzles are animated to make them very attention grabbing. No printing is needed; all the puzzles should be solvable without the need to write anything down. Very engaging and fun.
