Ex Teacher, turned Instructional Designer. After 15 years in a range of classrooms, around the world with a BA in Design and Media, a TESOL cert and a PGCE, I decided to take on an MSc in Interactive Media, so that I could make fun, accessible resources. I now work for a process engineering company, where I help chemical engineers to make courses about Novel Gene Therapies and much more. I love to make 3D animated models to show concepts from all sides. The activities I make are with tired teachers in mind, who need their students to get into some fresh, interactive flows that teach them effectively. I create material with Universal Design Principles in mind, to make my resources accessible to as many learners as possible. I am careful about how I choose colour, font, balance and simplicity to avoid confusing, or overwhelming visuals. I try to include optional audio, and I am currently working on activities that leaners who do not use the mouse can access by using the keyboard.
