Starter - Students think about work done without knowing what it is
Main - Introduce work done, the formula, some worked examples, and then the students complete the worksheet (worksheet has rearranging opportunities), progress check as answers are on the slides. Then the students complete a short practical looking at how the number of elastic bands can affect the force needed to pull an object across the desk
Plenary - Practical evaluation and link to a Kahoot! quiz

Starter - Some true and false questions on Energy to address misconceptions
Main - Intro to energy and the new 'stores' approach. Work through the different stores of energy, giving examples. The students then have a worksheet to complete. Energy transfers then discussed with a demo (as shown in the picture) and examples given. Students then move around a circus identifying energy stores and any transfers.
Plenary - Three levelled questions (with markschemes) for students to answer
