The content of the first two lessons of Waves covered in one. Go through the information about waves whilst students complete the first page of the booklet. They are then left to complete the rest of the booklet themselves, using the first page as a guide. Finish off with getting the students to complete certain waveforms when given specific sounds

The lesson looks at the two theories of the universe being created - Big bang and steady state. They use the key cards and split between inferences and observations then use them to decide which is a better model and why

Using ramps and cars the students plan their investigation using the planning sheet, and then carry out the investigation. This can all be done in one lesson. I then set them the task of writing up the investigation (using the level ladder) as homework, but could be done in a subsequent lesson

Practical activity. In pairs students pick a type of ear to make. They then stand near the sound source that is included and walk backward until they can no longer hear the sound. The sound needs to be very low, along with the class being quiet. Two elephant ears should be the best.
