Recap on present tense endings, common irregulars, spot the mistake on WW2 topic in A level Edexcel and Eduqas spec, and translation task with mark scheme and suggested answers
50 minute lesson
A range of worksheets on Christmas in France- a match up of vocabulary, a crossword using same vocabulary and anagrams of the words to help with the spelling of these words. There is also a gap fill in French which I then use as a translation about the christmas/epiphany period in France.
I have used this for two lessons of cover work - students must use the sentence builder to complete a set of activities which include: 5 minute word finding challenge, wordsearch, match-up, gapped translation, bad translation, put in the gaps and other things
Powerpoint with simple sentence builders which prints as worksheet activities, including tile translation, battleships, wordsearches, anagrams, match up etc
By end hopefully students will be confident giving opinions on Tv shows and films. I have left this as cover work as it is quite self explanatory
A pack of sentence builders and activities made on the website, activities made from word wall, and a music tarsia all being used by us to revise for our end of year exams - also includes some key verb work
Activities to extend beyond the book - includes tile translation, battleships, one pen -one dice, running dictation (requires you to print the texts from book), etc
Picture with PALM opportunity
match up of useful vocabulary
challenge to write longest paragraph with some vocabulary
role play on weddings/relationships - student part with ! given
includes photo to look at PALMW tactic, some key vocabulary to check for the topic of festivals
a role play adapted from AQA to talk about Easter - linked to photo chosen and then option to change answer to tackle other festivals
Students consider possible questions may be asked on the topic for the photocard and plan out their responses
Revision task - I am using this week as we go back after Easter -to get students to recap learning so far - they enjoy these tasks are they are competitive and also they like sense they can remember lots
We will do a box game and a make the most expensive sentence before this so they are not going in cold straight off
They have to translate to make one side of the box - if they close a box, they get to put their initials in and see who finishes first - can do in 2s or 3s
