I am currently teaching History at the Langley Academy which has as one of its key foci a Museum Learning approach to education, see: http://www.langleyacademy.org/ My students most recent results were as follows: ALPS 3 year 13, GCSE Year 11 Humanities A* to C 43% which was inline or above for all but 2 students Progress 8 Score +0.76, GCSE Year 11 History A* to C 90.9?% and A* to A 45% and residual of +0.2 so students performed 1 fifth of a grade above expectations. These excellent results are down to the quality of my resources see my shop on TES. I try to provide regular and effective feedback to students, through both verbal and written means so that they understand, know and can articulate how they are currently performing in terms of their level, skill or appropriate exam grade descriptors. Marking and feedback supports students understanding of what they can and need to do in order to improve their work and attainment.
