This 13 page document was created for my Grade Three parents. In the information booklet you will find strategies and tips on how parents can help their children at home. Whatever school you are in, parents will appreciate this document and it will be a great marketing tool for you as a teacher and for the school. I have left it as a word document, so that you can adapt it for your context. It can be easily adapted for children for Grades 1, 2 and 4. Enjoy!
Each Week I ask my class a Maths riddle. You will find three riddles a week for 21 weeks. Sometimes my class receive the riddle on day one of the week and are still going on day 5! The children really enjoy trying to solve each riddle and so do some of the other teachers! Have fun with it and share it with your colleagues at work. I use it with Grades 2 and 3. Enjoy!

Print out all of the muddles and stick them around the school. Stick them on the walls, in the canteen, library, basically anywhere that the children will visit throughout the day. The children really enjoy it and it brings the whole day to life! Enjoy!
This is a wonderful unit of work that will save teachers hours and hours of time. This unit of work on Electricity could be used for Years 2-4 and covers 12 lessons. There are session plans, PowerPoints and all resources are included in the folder. There are also 4 Active Inspire Flipcharts that are an excellent addition to the planning. This 2 page document is to allow your children to have a 'Pupil Voice' and comment on what they enjoy about school. Older children should be able to complete this independently, whereas Key Stage One students will need adult support. This is a wonderfully simple resource that is great for target setting. I use this for Maths and Writing and stick it on the inside of both books. Each half term, I set two new targets that are specific to the individual child. One target sheet for the whole year!
This is a fun, interactive game that promotes active participation and can be easily differentiated. It would be great for an observation! On each slide a question appears on the screen and all the children have to think about the answer. After 6-8 seconds a name flashes across the screen and that child should shout out the answer. The children love this game and you should all give it a go! Tip - Repeat a child's name, so that they never know when their name will appear. It will be one of the best Maths warms up you will ever do!
Promotes great discussions and can easily be adapted to suit any school. I have left two slides on at the end, which are a fun way to share the weekly house point totals. Enjoy!

This is a Who Wants to be a Millionaire themed assembly to teach the children about resilience. Each question is linked to the theme resilience, and after each correct question they receive a letter. We call it 'Who want to win a word?' I have also included a story that can be used to support the assembly and a video link to further enhance the message being shared. This Powerpoint was created to celebrate International Day at our school. In the Powerpoint there are images and a fun 'Family Fortunes Game'. There is also well over 40 flags and audio files to celebrate the different countries around the world. The Powerpoint has 51 slides and this Powerpoint will be a great addition to your International Day activities/assembly.
