I strongly believe in mass, active participation and my resources will reflect this. Differentiation is also key to my teaching. The most important factor in my teaching is always fun! I have observed well over 100 lessons and I am confident which resources can be used to enhance learning.

This is a lovely resource which will prepare your children for Sports Day and will teach them all about Teamwork, Resilience and trying ones best. This could also be used at the beginning of a PSHE lesson. The resource has been adapted from a famous story about 'The Tortoise and the Hare'. Enjoy!
World Maths Day 2017:
You will be able to download three main resources in this folder.
Maths Riddles - These can be sent to children throughout the day or cut out and stuck around the school for the children to solve.
Maths Challenges - There are two challenges for each year group that should be completed throughout the day. They can be easily edited to suit your school context.
Maths Assembly - This PowerPoint Presentation can be used in a variety of ways, although I have used it in the past for whole school assemblies. At the end of World Math Day I normally lead a whole school assembly where all children in the school bring a small whiteboard and have to answer the set questions. Last year I even turned this into an interhouse Math competition by choosing one child from each house to stand at the front of the hall and answer the questions. You can be as creative as you like, but this assembly presentation will be a fun, interactive way to begin or end your World Math Day activities. Enjoy!
You will find five assembly presentations that can be used for a whole Phase/School assembly or during PSHE lessons. This is a special price of £3.99, which will save you many hours and effort.
Resilience Assembly:
This is a Who Wants to be a Millionaire themed assembly to teach the children about resilience. Each question is linked to the theme resilience, and after each correct question they receive a letter. We call it 'Who want to win a word?' I have also included a story that can be used to support the assembly and a video link to further enhance the message being shared. The assembly time will be around 20-25 minutes and if you want to impress your colleagues and ensure the children have a fun, interactive learning experience, then this assembly presentation is for you. This presentation is completely editable, which will allow you to make slight changes to suit your context.
Leadership Assembly:
This is a great Presentation to demonstrate leadership. The children will enjoy discussing some of the questions with a partner. Can be used during lessons too.
Decision Making Assembly:
This is a PowerPoint presentation that could be used in class and for a school assembly. Your children will enjoy the story and it will hopefully help them make better decisions afterwards. Enjoy!
Responsibility Assembly:
Promotes great discussions and can easily be adapted to suit any school. I have left two slides on at the end, which are a fun way to share the weekly house point totals.
Healthy Living Assembly:
Great to use for the start of a new topic. Includes animations, pictures and will promote questioning.

Olympic Day/Parade/Assembly: **** Special price for month of June ****
This resource was used last week for a whole school entry point. The school was divided into 15 countries and took part in a whole school assembly and parade. The 15 countries reflect the 5 Olympic Rings, with 3 countries being chosen from each continent (The Americas being one).
Olympic Entry Point PowerPoint:
This PowerPoint shares a brief history of the games, followed by 15 slides to reflect the 15 countries. Each slide has a country flag with the national anthem playing in the background. The national anthems play automatically and all timings have been preset.
During the parade I also shared facts about each country. This is attached as a Word document. I read these out during each national anthem.
Olympic Introduction:
This is a great activity that can be used as a warm up activity during the assembly. It is based on the popular TV programme 'Family Fortunes'. During the presentation click on the number if the children get it correct and click on the 'X' if they get it incorrect. Great fun for teachers vs. students.
Olympic Scoring Card:
This was used for the 5 events during the day. I have just added this to give you a flavour of the day.
Enjoy!

This is a fun, interactive game that promotes active participation and can be easily differentiated. It would be great for an observation! On each slide a question appears on the screen and all the children have to think about the answer. After 6-8 seconds a name flashes across the screen and that child should shout out the answer. The children love this game and you should all give it a go! Tip - Repeat a child's name, so that they never know when their name will appear. It will be one of the best Maths warms up you will ever do!
This planning consists of five sessions with warm up ideas, games key objectives. It is suitable for Years One and Two, although could be adapted for older students.

Mental Maths Daily Challenges
This is a wonderful resource that can be used for children of any age. I start my daily Maths lesson with five different questions that cover five different areas of the curriculum. The children write their answers on a small whiteboard. The PowerPoint can be easily edited to suit any age and any level. I update my presentation every four weeks, hence why there are 20 slides, as well as the front cover.

Each Week I ask my class a Maths riddle. You will find three riddles a week for 21 weeks. Sometimes my class receive the riddle on day one of the week and are still going on day 5! The children really enjoy trying to solve each riddle and so do some of the other teachers! Have fun with it and share it with your colleagues at work. I use it with Years 2 and 3. Enjoy!
*** Alternative use for World Math Day ***
Print out all of the muddles and stick them around the school. Stick them on the walls, in the canteen, library, basically anywhere that the children will visit throughout the day. The children really enjoy it and it brings the whole day to life! Enjoy!
