This is a simple crossword containing most of the keywords from the Edexcel SB8 unit of their 9-1 GCSE course. This activity can be used for revision, a starter, plenary or a homework.
This is a whole lesson based on Science Spot’ Christmas chromatography activity. It is aimed at KS3 Science students, but can be done with KS2 or KS4 SEN pupils also. The aim is to get pupils producing hanging Christmas decorations using chromatography. It is an alternative to watching a video at the end of term. The resource is fully editable and can be easily adapted. It is assumed that pupils have some knowledge of chromatography already, although this is not necessary for them to do the activity.
This activity is for lesson CB4d of the Edexcel 9-1 Combined Science GCSE. It is a simple crossword puzzle and word search activity for pupils to complete as they enter the room. The crossword is for more able pupils, whereas the word search is for weaker students.

This is a generic revision game template which can be used to assess any subject. The powerpoint can be easily edited. It is usually played with 2 teams and is a whole class activity. It can take a whole lesson to complete this game. I use this in revision lessons at the end of a topic. 20 questions can be created by a teacher or by the students and scores recorded on the template. The rules to the game are on the powerpoint. I’ve produced a simple revision summary sheet for the Edexcel Biology core practicals. This can be printed onto A3 sheet and completed or modified to make the boxes bigger for students to fill in. I’ve completed the CB1b (SB1b) core practical as an example of information needed.
