Numbers Before and After/1 More 1 Less to 20
Simple number cards to fill in before and after/1 more, 1 less. I am planning to use these with number stones but could easily use different resources such as magnetic numbers or writing in the missing numbers.
Hope these are useful!
Multiplication and Division Fact Families
A simple ‘roll the dice’ activity to explore the relationship between multiplication and division. Can be laminated/put inside a SMART Pal and written on with whiteboard pen to be reused.
Hope you find this resource useful!
Rounding Dice Game
Simple dice game to make rounding a bit more fun! Children can complete this individually or in pairs/small groups. I used this as a fast finisher task. I have also included an example to show the children and support them to complete it independently.
Hope this helps!
3D Shape Mats
These mats can be laminated or put into SmartPals for children to complete. In my P1 class, the children used cocktail sticks and playdough to create the shape then wrote the shape in whiteboard pen. They loved this hands-on activity to explore properties of 3D shapes! Includes cube, cuboid, cylinder, sphere, cone and pyramid.
Missing Number Tracks/Skip Counting
Simple, differentiated activity (3 worksheets) to fill in missing number tracks using knowledge of skip counting/number patterns. I used this as an independent task/assessment tool in P1 but can be used in different stages as appropriate.
Number Names Worksheets
Two simple worksheets to practise and consolidate number names from 0-5.
First worksheet: trace and match number names to 5.
Second worksheet: reading the number name and drawing that number of flowers in the flower pot.
I sent these home as homework activities, however can be used in Smart Pals/laminated to be used again and again in class too!
Hope these are useful.
Build the Number Cubes Activity
A simple activity which I put into SmartPals (but could also be laminated). The children have to read the number and build a tower with that number of cubes. This allows the children to visually see which numbers are bigger, by the height of the towers.
There are two worksheets - one to 10, and one to 20 as a challenge (I used this in P1).
Hope these are useful!
Halloween Addition Peg Cards
Halloween themed peg cards to practise addition to 20 visually. Editable through the PowerPoint, or PDF version ready to print!
Halloween Addition Worksheets
A pack of three addition worksheets with a Halloween theme. First worksheet is more visual, to 10. Second worksheet is addition with numerals to 10, and third worksheet is addition with numerals to 20.
Christmas Elf Addition and Subtraction
This includes two separate files (one for addition to 10/20 and one for subtraction to 10/20).
I used this resource to create a simple tuff tray, linked to an ‘Elf on the Shelf’ challenge. I laminated the elves and cut the hats off to create a simple maths puzzle!
Hope you find this useful for Christmas.
Number Posters to 20
Simple posters to 20 with the numeral, number name, Numicon and Numberblock.
I have uploaded the PDF to keep the font, or the PPT to edit.
I hope these are useful!
Days at School Template (Pastel Rainbow)
Simple template to count how many days the kids have been at school - on day 100 you could have a big celebration with activities all relating to the number 100! Great visual for counting in 10s as they are on ten frames. Can tick/stick a counter on for each day.
Have added the PPT which is editable, or the PDF to keep the font.
Fractions Activity: My Name in Fractions
Simple activity to put fractions into context using the child’s name. Saw the idea online and had a go at making these myself! Have uploaded a PDF version to keep the font or a PPT version to edit number of boxes for names. Hope they’re useful.
Multiplication Word Problems
A simple worksheet encouraging children to use reading, problem solving and multiplication skills. Available to download as an editable Word document or a PDF to keep the font and format.
Hope you find this useful!
Back to School Activity: Time Capsule
Two resources included for a time capsule activity: an ‘all about me’ worksheet and a measurement activity.
As well as this, I added in their handprint which they designed, a first day photo, and a piece of artwork.
Bee Bot Mats
Two mats which could be used to practise directional language with Bee Bots. One has a selection of shapes, another has animals. These can be blown up to A3 to make it easier to use. I hope you find them useful!
