Based on the CCEA exam board with hints and tips from the CCEA GCSE language textbook.
Resource includes booklet with activities, and a range of multi modal texts taken from various search engines.
Resource created as part of teacher training 2014 and was distributed throughout the then "Southern Education and Library board" of Northern Ireland
The booklet was created by me with the intention to be used as part of teaching a 6 week unit. It was later accredited by placement 2 teaching school and distributed
Transactional writing
This resource is ideal for year 9 students who are beginning the study of transactional writing. Equally as it is created using a GCSE course it may also be helpful if you need extra activities for year 10/11
Resource includes a brief encounter of all aspects from leaflets to speech writing alongside activities.
Activities are given as examples using CCEA English Language GCSE for inspiration (Northern Ireland board) Activities can be changed or developed or swapped for whatever is more suitable for your class

Key Stage 3 Reading Challenge
This resource has been created to encourage Key Stage 3 to read more. It is reminiscent of the Passport to Literacy certificate that was used previously but has been changed. Students are encouraged to read a novel which is suitable to their ability and then complete or more activities. If they can do so they receive a certificate to say they have completed the challenge.
Could be adapted or changed to suit the students in front of you.
