I have 23 years experience teaching Pre-K through Grade 8 in public and parochial school districts. I am currently teaching music in a STEM school and use a lot of technology in my music class. I had the honor being selected as Teacher of the Year-STEM Academy 2016.I have an eclectic style of teaching and try to incorporate technology and interdisciplinary studies wherever possible. The games that I create incorporate different subject areas and are interactive in nature.

Interactive Music Symbols Games-Google Slides/Adobe Reader-Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Adventures -Music Symbols and Terms is an interactive Outdoor themed Music game designed for both Google Slides and Adobe Reader (PDF). It allows students go on a virtual adventure visiting different scenes to help the children with practicing their music skills and provide teachers an opportunity to assess students in the process. Students will learn about various woodland animals and outdoor activities in the process of practicing music skills. Students pick a person or animal while searching for forest friends. In the process, they get music questions to practice. When they get it correct, they learn an interesting fact about the animal or the activity pictured. This is a great back to school review activity or one to play any time during the year! It is a great way to integrate technology into the classroom and differentiate instruction. It also helps students (especially second language learners) develop language skills and vocabulary development. But, most importantly, it provides lots of fun while learning about Music! When designing this product, I was thinking of how my own students love to take turns playing games in my class. They can’t get enough of it and always want “another turn.” This product has plenty of opportunities for students to have several turns during one class, or over several class periods. This game can be projected for a class to play at once or used on an iPad or tablet for individual for small group/center play. It can be assigned through Google Classroom as a way to practice skills independently. It takes the place of flash cards! Each location is like a mini game It can be played over one or several class periods. LOTS of content here! I hope your students enjoy Outdoor Adventures Interactive Music Symbols and Terms Game as much as my students have!
