Gas Laws Worksheet - AQA 9-1 new syllabus KS4 Higher Tier Separate Science - With answers!

(0)
AQA Particle Model of Matter - Separate Science Higher Tier Physics A worksheet with answers for practice using the P1V1 = P2V2 combined equation for Boyle’s Law and Charles’ Law. This resource encourages students to use the P1V1= constant format that is described in the new 9-1 grade AQA GCSE syllabus, giving students plenty of practice with using this equation that even the top sets find alien. Students work through questions that have a term or terms missing in a clearly set out table. The difficulty of the questions increases as you go down the table, where the questions become gradually less familiar. By the end of this worksheet, students will feel far more confident in using the gas laws equation.

KS4 electrolysis worksheet - AQA or Edexcel

(0)
Perfect practice for electrolytic products. I have included two differentiated sheets - one foundation and one higher tier. I use the foundation sheet with my bottom set foundation year 10 to help cement the concept of predicting the product of molten and aqueous electrolysis at each electrode. This is something that, with a little practice, they can easily pick up marks on. For my higher ability groups, I either use the foundation sheet as a starter, or the full higher tier sheet as a consolidation task with my triple group to help those who are a little unsure. I sometimes use it as a task weeks later after having taught the content to my triple group to check recall skills. I then use the foundation sheet as a year 11 starter with my triple groups for further recall. Answer sheets included.

Balancing equations worksheet

(0)
An extensive worksheet to help students balance equations. This worksheet increases in difficulty. How I use: Start by working through the first 2-3 questions on the board, showing a step-by-step method of balancing and explaining the principles behind why we balance - nice link to conservation of mass. Let students work through at their own pace, whilst circulating the room to pick up issues. Prices/points for anyone that correctly finishes the sheet.

Christmas Chemistry Worksheet - chemical name match up

(0)
Christmas Chemistry worksheet on the different names and formats a students may come across for the same chemical (ie acetone and propanone) Light worksheet for the last lesson of term that raises awareness of different names and terms for the same chemical by matching the different names in a Christmas cracker theme. Very good for raising awareness of something that is not studied in its own right. Also a useful revision tool for A level students - you would be surprised how many will not know acetone is propanone! This versatile worksheet can be used as a quick exercise by joining the two answers using a line or by colouring the answers the same colour, or can be turned into a longer exercise by cutting and sticking the answers in the correct formation in the students' books.
