Skeletal formula A level Chemistry worksheets

(2)
Skeletal formula for A level chemistry worksheets. This set of 4 worksheets gives practice with both drawing skeletal formulae and practice with naming compounds when given the skeletal formula (IUPAC nomenclature). There are 4 worksheets in total, each with 9 questions.** The package also includes the answer sheet.** *** Skeletal formulae worksheet 1**: skeletal formulae of hydrocarbons *** Skeletal formulae worksheet 2:** naming hydrocarbons from the skeletal formula *** Skeletal formulae worksheet 3:** Draw the skeletal formulae of compounds from the following homologous series: alcohols, halogenoalkanes, animes, aldehydes, ketones, nitriles *** Skeletal formulae worksheet 4:** Name the compounds from the following homologous series when given the skeletal formula: carboxylic acids, amides, amines, esters, acyl chlorides, acid anhydrides, halogenoalkanes, ketones, amino acids. Worksheets 1,2 and 3 are suitable for year 1 and AS students, as well as being good revision for year 2 students. Worksheet 4 is suitable for year 2 students and can be used to introduce the new compounds covered in year 2. You can also use these worksheets to give students practice with different types of formulae e.g. you could ask them to draw displayed formulae, structural formulae, empirical formulae, draw an isomer etc. My Introduction to Organic chemistry workbook also includes practice with drawing skeletal formulae (and all other formulae) and nomenclature https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/organic-chemistry-for-a-level-workbook-introduction-12607872
