However, with the release of new specifications for exams comes the problem that past papers just don't exist, therefore giving students the opportunity to practice the exam and build confidence going into the exam is limited. This full practice exam paper is designed to cover the content from the core technical principles, the specialist technical principles and the designing and making principles of the AQA GCSE Design and Technology new specification and is out of 100 marks. This significant resource will give students practice in answering questions in exactly the same format that they will face in their real exam. Alternatively, this resource can be used as a mock exam. The exam is split into 3 sections, A, B and C with a markscheme for each. Included are three practice papers for section A of the AQA Graphic Products exam 2016 based on the theme ''Self-assembly decoration for a special event'. The three papers give a broad experience of section A type design questions and related theory questions and will help to build confidence for students going into the exam: Paper 1: Design and develop a hanging decoration for Chinese New Year. Sequential instructions for assembly and final presentation drawing. Paper 2: Design and develop tro ideas for a table decoration for a school prom. Print finishes question and accurate drawing on grid paper. Paper 3: Design and develop two ideas for a large free standing decoration to advertise a school fair. Draw on grid paper the word 'Fair' to be cut out and folded as a display. Additional question on notes and sketches to increase stability. Markschemes are provided for all three papers and can be used for self-assessment or peer-assessment to allow students to gain familiarity with the AQA style of marking.
