This lesson focuses on the claims to the throne in 1066, leading up to the Battle of Hastings. It is a full lesson with all resources. In the final part of the lesson students are given a source analysis assessment task which is also included. I hope it’s useful!
Peterloo Massacre mini case study SOW
This is a mini case study of three lessons around the Peterloo Massacre of 1819 in Manchester. It focuses on using first hand and second hand accounts to view contrasting opinions and interpretations of the event. There is also opportunitiy to examine Shelley’s 'The Masque of Anarchy. Then the work of the historian Robert Reid is also examined.
