I’ve been a primary school teacher for 5 years and work as a private tutor for different ages. I enjoy creating new, engaging materials that encourage children to enjoy learning. The resources in my shop are mainly aimed at primary aged children. However, I’d like to start creating some resources for GCSE students, especially for modern foreign languages.

These differentiated worksheets are aimed at year 2 children. The learning focus is based on partitioning two digit numbers. There are differentiated worksheets for LA, MA and HA, with answers included.
The worksheets use dienes and encourages children to partition the numbers visually. For higher ability children, they can begin to partition numbers without the visual element and explain their answers using further reasoning skills.
This resource is an 18 page booklet with visual materials to help to consolidate learners understanding of addition, subtraction, counting in 2s, 5s, 10s, shape and measurement. This booklet could be used first thing in the morning or as an extra challenge for children who finish their work early.
Here are 3 differentiated worksheets based on counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. These worksheets have different activities, aimed at year 2 children, to begin counting from different numbers also.
Inside this pack, you can find differentiated maths puzzles which are colour coded into green, amber and red puzzles. The green puzzles include number bond matching activities and adding single digit numbers. The amber maths puzzles are great for an extra challenge. They include questions that involve adding two two digit numbers and bridging through 10.

Here are 6 differentiated worksheets aimed at encouraging year 2 learners to begin finding different amounts of money using pounds and pennies. The first set of worksheets are aimed at identifying certain amounts, from pennies to pounds. The second set of worksheets encourages learners to make the amounts and find several amounts for the same value.
These fractions of amounts puzzles fit together like a jigsaw. There are 6 different levels to help students to practice finding fractions of amounts. The levels are colour coded and differentiated into different categories:
Green: Finding halves and quarters of an amount.
Yellow: Finding halves, quarters and thirds of an amount.
Orange: Finding quarters, fifths and eighths of an amount.
Purple: Finding thirds, quarters and fifths of an amount. Divide the denominator and multiply the numerator.
Light Red: Finding sixths, sevenths and eighths of an amount. Divide the denominator and multiply the numerator.
Dark Red: Mixture of denominators and numerators. Challenging puzzle!
In this pack, there are differentiated worksheets aimed at year 2 learners. There are 3 main worksheets that encourage children to name shapes, describe the properties with some support and describe the properties of shapes more independently. There is also a 3D worksheet based on identifying the shapes (colouring different shapes) and a Venn diagram for children to sort the shapes based on different categories.
These year 2 maths worksheets are differentiated and suitable for KS1 learners. Each worksheet helps to develop children’s understanding of the expanded addition method. I’ve also included worksheets for year 2 learners that might struggle with these early steps and have instead created a worksheet based on adding with numicon. Inside this pack, you can find:
LA: Adding with numicon - Identifying different numbers and adding a one digit and two digit number using numicon.
LA: Expanded Addition Method - Using dienes to partition and add two digit numbers.
MA: Expanded Addition Method - Partitioning numbers and adding two digit numbers.
HA: Expanded Addition Method - Partitioning numbers and bridging through ten.
This is a maths powerpoint based on ‘place value’ for year 1 students. The powerpoint offers questions as an opportunity to reflect on childrens’ current understanding of place value and has pictorial images to help to find one more and one less than a given amount. The powerpoint is available in pdf and powerpoint format so that the images can be moved using an interactive whiteboard.
The activity sheets accompanied with the powerpoint include:
Finding one more and one less with pictorial images
Using dots/drawings to count one more and one less
Writing the number for one more, one less
Matching cards for finding one more than a given number
Matching cards for finding one less than a given number
These year 2 worksheets are differentiated and encourage learners to begin counting numbers to 100. The worksheets encourage students to order numbers to 20, 50 and 100.
Included are three differentiated worksheets for the lower abilities, middle abilities and higher abilities. The worksheets have questions based on finding fractions of shapes, different objects and amounts.
Inside this pack, there are differentiated worksheets based on the year 2 curriculum for identifying 2D shapes and understanding the different properties. The worksheets encourage children to identify different 2D shapes, count the vertices, sides and write their own facts about regular 2D shapes.
Included are differentiated worksheets involving capacity. The LA and MA worksheets are aimed at year 1 pupils who need support and need a slight challenge. The GD worksheet has more problem solving questions and requires a greater understanding of number - these could benefit year 2 pupils also. The worksheets cover ‘full, empty, half empty, nearly full’ mathematical terms and encourage pupils to apply their understanding of capacity.
There are 3 differentiated worksheets aimed at the emerging, expected and greater depth children for maths. The maths worksheets are based on the children’s understanding of money. The questions target children’s ability to identify different types of coins, combine different amounts of coins to make a set value and problem solve.
Included in this pack are 3 sets of worksheets aimed at year 2 students, with some challenging questions that stretch beyond year 2 expectations. For the lower ability, the questions are mainly addition with few subtraction problems under £1. The middle ability worksheets include many of these types of questions and encourage students to begin subtracting from £1. The higher ability questions offer more of a challenge. Children have to check the prices from the toy shop carefully before adding or subtracting the amounts. Some of these questions go beyond £1 and are only aimed at the most able year 2 children.
All questions encourage children’s reasoning skills and are written as word problems.
