I write all sorts of resources for primary and secondary pupils. Have done supply on the full range for more than 10 years now and always come fully armed with resources for my lessons. I aim particularly at the lower groups who are strugglers. Secondary resources have been created for PRU pupils and they have worked REALLY well. The phonics resources were written for a number of pupils that I tutor after school hours and I have had great results.

Norway ALPHABETICAL ORDER

Its always good to have a worksheet that is a bit different from others that you have on the topic. Some children need a bit of consolidation with alphabetical order. Good in the media/resource centre.

PHONICS: Fill in the AI sound in the words

(4)
Lots of words needing the AI filled into them. Then read the words. The worksheet can be used in many ways. I get the children to fill in the AI sound with a coloured felt tip. Weaker readers are then able to sound the word out more easily. I also make sure that they understand the meanings of all the words. Please leave feedback and a rating.

Sometimes I chuckle a bit when I have a list of words and I am making a story with them. This one really made me smile when it all came together! The story is full of split digraph O-E and gives the pupils a chance to test their ability to read words with this sound. The story is followed by a set of questions. Please leave feedback and a rating if this is a useful resource.
