A set of Cloze procedure exercises which can be used for young readers or for older pupils who struggle with reading and comprehension skills. I was working in a local PRU teaching EDEXCEL science to a group of pupils who were totally NOT interested in the learning process but were keen to get a grade. So I bought them each the revision guide published by Pearson - the green one for foundation as this was the level they were working on. I then created this workbook. They really liked it and enjoyed working through the booklet and filling in all the answers from the guide. The process of simply reading and filling in the answers helped every pupil in that group to get a C grade. I think this booklet will be useful for homework, revision and days when cover is needed for a class. Please let me know what you think of it as I have more and need feedback before I make them available.

A list of the more common collective nouns to fill in on the worksheet. I then continued with this theme giving a list of objects eg toys, babies, eggs, teachers, children, tress etc and asked the children to make up their own creative collective terms . The feedback eg a scream of babies a muddle of toys. It was great fun.
