Account of a past holiday - first lesson/recap
A first (revision) lesson on building an account of a past holiday. Revises: past tense of key verbs, key vocabulary (weather, destinations, transports, who with? duration, accommodation) using thinking skills activities. It usually comes up in Y10 but I used it with a top set Y9. Enjoy ;)
Passe Compose/Perfect tense flowchart handout
I have tried numerous ways of explaining the past tense and there are some great resources on the TES for tutorials and activities. However I could not find an easy to follow handout covering everything there is to know about the passé composé, that was straight forward and fitted on 2 pages (either for double sided copies or 2 A5 on an A4 landscape way). Anyway, I ended up making my own and I hope you find it useful too ☺ I usually do whole class examples and later use mini whiteboards for individual practice.
Mindset display board
A hopefully inspiring display board to help your students change their mindset.
As backing paper I used brick effect wallpaper from a DIY shop
Complete Spanish display board
Here is a complete set of Spanish display resources that I have either created or collected then adapted covering mostly grammar and literacy (some not shown on picture as they are in different parts of my classroom). It took me a few days to put together so I hope it saves you time and is useful to your students. The tenses on the time line are colour coded with the tenses explanation (past tenses in blue, present in red and future tenses in green). Everything is either powerpoint or word documents so you can edit them to suit your needs best.
