Matching Activity: Linear Equations, Graph, Slope Intercept Form

(0)
This matching activity can be used in a variety of ways and is subject to your expectations for your student(s). The cards are colorful and easy to read to ensure student engagement. Simply print out the activity on card paper or regular paper, laminate, and cut them into individual cards. In total, there are 36 cards divided into sets of three equivalent representations of a linear equation. The first card in the set is a linear equation in standard form. The second card is a graph of a linear equation. The third card is the same linear equation in slope-intercept form. If a student changes the equation from slope-intercept form to standard form, they will need to ensure that the coefficient of the x term is always positive and a whole number value. The last two pages contain cut outs that can be used to let students know if they are correct or if they have two out of the three matches correct. You can use the traditional marking scheme with checks, crosses, and a hyphen for partially correct, or the various faces.
