Falling skydiver problem worksheets & velocity/displacement time graphs activity

(0)
Worksheets for falling skydiver problem. Classroom activity for velocity/displacement time graphs. The idea is that teams of 2/3 three stick a graph on the poster which correctly describes the velocity or displacement time graph. Normally teach this topic with white boards for drawing or describing the graphs but this activity is best as a revision/summary exercise. Any queries follow link to website and drop a message.

Challenge worksheet for sixth form class. Python coding is optional - students doing computer science will find it basic but I felt it was worth introducing the whole class to a practical example of coding. If the code is copied and pasted into the online Jupyter notebook (https://jupyter.org) python editor the exclamation marks will cause an error (easily changed). Students are best writing each line of code into the editor and ensuring the exclamation marks are formatted correctly for python.

Cut and stick activity. For final year elementary, lower secondary or SEN pupils. As a challenge can then write out the equations. Feedback welcome. Idea is to get them to solving the general quadratic equation - will be uploaded eventually!!

Lesson used with year 9 class for AQA combined science (similar to other exam boards). Focus on plum pudding model and then introduces isotopes. PPQ exit pass could be handed out at end (e.g. on plum pudding model). Had previously covered separation techniques so starter questions should be modified.

Designed for AQA Physics single science. Similar to material covered on other specifications. Worksheet and solutions. PowerPoint slides can be used to develop an interactive lesson. Any questions please contact me.

Focus is on AQA spec but material is similar to that used by other boards. Information sheet based on BBC bitesize material for AQA (share between groups or place around room). Possibly could be scaffolded for pupils requiring support. Pupils will need mini white boards, red pens & post it notes (optional obviously). Feedback welcome :)

GCSE Physics displacement and distance time graphs

Worksheets explaining the difference between distance and displacement time graphs. AQA specifically refer to distance time graphs, however displacement time graph notes are also included. As distance pertains to speed and displacement to velocity, these worksheets highlight this difference. Please get in touch if you have any questions :)

Resource covering the momentum topic for AQA. The content is similar to that covered on other exam boards. Parts of the worksheet can be “snipped” as appropriate and displayed on PowerPoint slides. When updated purchasers will be notified.
