If your students are to succeed in science they need to know about prefixes and standard form. Use this worksheet and PowerPoint to get them working and thinking. It could take from 15 minutes of a lesson to over half an hour depending on the time available and ability of the students. The PowerPoint and worksheet cover what is needed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as well as Dual Award Science GCSE. It is written so it can be delivered either in the classroom with a work sheet, over the internet as a PowerPoint on TEAMs or Zoom. It could also be given as a homework with the PowerPoint used at the start of the next lesson so that the pupils can peer mark their work. The worksheet and PowerPoint cover the most used units and values in exams. The worksheet is designed so you can print pages 1 and 2 double sided and save paper.
