This resource can be completed as 2/3 lessons depending on the stage and ability of learners. Lesson 1 focuses on basic greetings depending on time/occasion & introducing yourself by name. It includes key vocab and games that can be used to support pupils with learning the vocab. It then has a supporting worksheet for learners to complete. Lesson 2 focuses on asking how you are and what age you are. It again provides the key vocab with games to support learning of this vocab. It also then has two supporting worksheets.

This Chinese New Year is the year of the dragon so the writing focus is going to be on a character description of a Chinese Dragon. This resource explains the five different aspects of a character that pupils should describe in order to successfully convey their character to their reader. It also provides a modelled text, and a table worksheet for them to record examples of each aspect from the text. This will help give them inspiration for their own story. This resource includes the main lesson, the recording table and the planning page. I have also included a printed copy of the texts which could be printed out for pupils.
