This is lesson one in a series of ICT KS3 lessons. Levels are included and taken from APP. Students are to create a digital presentation which includes media. The presentation should convince the Olympic committee to host the 2020 games in their given country. Could be used cross curricular to deliver languages.

Assessment lesson. Keystage 3 Computing Scheme of Learning. Aimed at Year 8 students, can be adpated for whole KS3. This scheme of learning looks inside the computer. KS3 Computing. There is a tab at the bottom called 'results'. This show the answers and marks the work. I usually have this tab hidden and use a macro 'Ctrl+Shift+R' to unhide it when students have finished, however TES does not allow macro enabled workbooks to be uploaded.

How Computers Work Lesson 2 - Year 8 Computing Scheme of learning. This lesson focuses on what is inside the computer. Levels are based losely on APP/Own school computing leveling system. I taught this with a practical element. Actual hardware components were scattered around the room for students to look at and several PCs had their cases removed to allow students to apply what they had learnt.
