This is a revision framework booklet for students to complete to summarise the main knowledge required for Edexcel A Level Psychology Paper 1 and/or Edexcel AS Level Psychology Papers 1 and 2. Research methods are not included, as I have created a separate research methods revision booklet. Please note this is a template for students to complete - not a revision guide. This is a PLC (personalised learning checklist) for Edexcel A Level Psychology. Please note that you may need to edit the contemporary studies as relevant (as the specification offers choice of which to study). The optional unit included in this resource for Paper 2 is Criminological Psychology. The resource contains an Excel spreadsheet with each sub-topic and a column for a RAG rating from students each term, from year 12 term 1 to year 13 term 5 for Paper 1 topics (Sheet 1), and year 13 term 1 to year 13 term 5 for Papers 2 and 3 topics (Sheet 2). These can be printed for students and kept at the front of their folders/books throughout the course and coloured in, or they could of course be shared electronically and completed by changing the colour of the cells.

This is a lesson originally used with Key Stage 4 Health and Social Care students within Black History Month (October) where students watch a documentary about Mary Seacole, and discuss why it is important that we remember her contributions to the field. The lesson itself is students watching the documentary, to be followed by a homework task to create a newspaper article about Mary. This could be developed into another lesson.

Students are required to work in groups to circulate around different crime scenarios and they have to select the most appropriate explanation to explain the behaviour, and evaluate its usefulness in relation to the scenario, practicing description, application and evaluation skills AO1/AO2/AO3. This PowerPoint will support an hour-long Psychology based extra-curricular session with key stage 3 students. No prior knowledge of Psychology is required from the students. The session introduces them to the weird and wonderful topics within Psychology through a true/false quiz format, with several varied activities, video links and discussion points. This PowerPoint was designed for a virtual Psychology Club session which took place via Zoom during the COVID-19 lockdown, however this could be used in the classroom too.
