NERVOUS SYSTEM STATION ACTIVITY LESSON
The nervous system plus station activities is always a win for both teacher and students. This product might be exactly what yo need to keep those young brains hooked and engaged whilst learning about the nervous system. This product includes 5 station worksheet + STATION NOTES (except station 5). These can also be used in solo lessons to suit the teacher’s needs.
Here is what’s included:
STATION 1: Students learn about the 4 brain lobes and write down their functions (+ STATION NOTES)
STATION 2: Students will match the internal parts of the brain to their correct names. They will also predict symptoms that might 4 patients might experience after damaging certain parts of their brains. (+ STATION NOTES)

Part 1: Biome worksheet
Students select of their favorite two land biomes to work on. Using information on the reading sheets, student will write down information such as average temperatures, amount of rainfall per year, color the location of the biomes on the map and draw three fauna and flora common in these biomes.
Part 2: Effect of Climate change on Biomes worksheet
Students will predict effect of climate change ( increase in temperatures) on biome # 1 from the previous worksheet. Afterwards, they will offer solutions on how to prevent this from happening.

Part 2: Learned Vs Innate Behavior
Students will classify animal behaviors as strictly learned, strictly innate or Both learned & innate. Afterwards, they will explain the survial benefits of the behavior to the animal that show it.
Part 3: Learned behavior Reading
In this part, students will read about imprinting, classical conditioning, operant conditioning, and habituation. When finished they will complete a worksheet to evaluate their understanding of the reading text.

The Parts of the Ear Worksheet:
In this part, students will label parts of the outer, middle and inner ears and complete a fill in the blanks activity to learn about the process of hearing.
The Reading Passage:
In this part, students read a short passage about the ear, the vestibular systems and how our sense of balance or imbalance occur. After reading, students will answer 5 critical thinking questions that will challenge them to explore the topic even further.
I have included all answer keys in the resource to help guide you.
I believe this will be a great addition to your sense organ unit and will provide opportunity for your students to learn about this topic in an engaging way. There is little time involve in preping for it which is a big win for the teacher to save valuable time.
