This multisensory resource is designed for a variety of learning opportunities. This resource is beneficial for students of different levels. Homework opportunities help students continue to develop skills with parent/guardian support.
This is one detailed lesson that reduces teacher planning time, but will yield numerous opportunities for students. There is a detailed Table of Contents to help guide teachers and parents.
I have over 29 years of experience as a special education teacher, and have been formally trained, and continue to take coursework, focused on Orton Gillingham methodologies, strategies and techniques. My work is dedicated to helping students develop their academic abilities in reading, writing and learning strategies, and to support teaches by offering OG resources! This is a 80 page PDF Bundle of five prefixes/suffixes. This is a multisensory resource that focuses on prefix and suffix meanings, word lists, word phrases, sentences; word searches (optional) and includes a partner/small group activity that reinforces presented skills. This is a time-saving- just print and go - PDF resource with over 225 pages complete with words lists; word phrases; and sentences. This resource is designed to provide teachers and parents with premade lists for reading fluency practice for post skill presentations. This is not a resource that includes skills lessons, but as a supplemental resource to continue practice with reading fluency.
Students using this resource should have already been instructed in the following skills: consonants, short vowels; vowel teams; vowel diphthongs; -ck; fszl; -tch; -dge; compound words (closed); R-Controlled Vowels; Vce and spelling generalizations.
This resource provides phrase practice of small phrases (up to 4 words) and longer phrases (five or more) so students can practice reading fluency.
Reading fluency skills students can continue to develop include: intonation of word and phrases; speaking words with proper accenting; scooping (reading a group of words together in a “flow.”
There is one part of this resource that focuses on sight words. Flash cards are included for 60 sight words that are used in the phrases and sentences. Prior to students reading the phrases and sentences, teachers should do a quick assessment of students’ sight word knowledge - known and unknown sight words.
Additional support can be provided by teachers using a literacy center for additional practice and support of the word lists, phrases and sentences; and the sight words.

Do you work with older students who need to develop writing skills? This is a multisensory PDF resource that offers explicit instruction in the writing process, and provides numerous writing prompts: prompts with visuals; written prompts (no visuals) and journal topics that are engaging, and helps develop high cognitive skills along with writing skills.

This multisensory bundle is designed to support students improve their reading - all of the R-controlled vowels and compound words; along with writing skills development. Information is provided about concepts included in the bundle for the teachers, parents and other adults to have to help students. To provide a multisensory, explicit, and repetitive approach, there is a focus on the following skills:

This training packet is designed to provide examples of a multisensory lesson of the following: short vowels; consonants; consonant blends; consonant digraphs; long vowels; vowel diphthongs; compound words; schwa; inflected endings; prefixes; roots; suffixes; syllable types; spelling generalizations/rules and accent rules for participants use with their small and/or large classroom settings. This is a cross curricular multisensory resource. This resource is a study guide template where you can make changes on the document. Please be sure to save the original resource. The reason for the creation of this resource was to support students who, based on IEP requirements, are provided with study guides. The problem with many study guides is that only the concepts being tested are provided. Students with 504 Plans, ESL/ELL students and classified students are typically developing foundational skills, unlike some of their peers. There is nothing more important then developing key skills like inferencing, predicting, and the ability to apply new concepts with prior knowledge to make "connections."
This study guide provides a way to continue to develop the high order thinking skills, not just providing test material. In the end, many students who use study guides to memorize will not recall or lack the ability to communicate the essence of concepts from previous weeks. Therefore, this multisensory tool is a method to continue to develop skills without requiring additional time outside the class or home. Skills are repetitiously repeated throughout the school year, and students have a stronger opportunity to increase higher thinking skills.

This multi-page resource is perfect for teachers and parents looking for meaningful work, with a variety of reading and writing activities. So many resources available for purchases are missing the skill building to develop writing. This resource includes a variety of writing opportunities, along with a user-friendly writer's support chart to help students with working memory, sequential ordering challenges, and language challenges. The approach used to develop this reource is based on the principles of Orton Gillingham - direct, explicit, cumulative and multisensory. There are application activities included. However, please note that there are some activities such as scrambled words that may be inappropriate to some of your students due to visual processing, weak working memories etc. The reason these activities are included is for the other students who have visual processing as a strength, and LOVE the activities.
