GCSE FRENCH AQA - RETRIEVAL CLOCK - MODULE 3 (Customs, festivals)

This resource is great for pupils to revise all of module two from the Pearson Studio textbook for AQA GCSE French. Each part of the retrieval clock contains a subtopic that is studied within the module. Topics include family celebrations, daily routine, clothes, food, festivals and celebrations, etc… This is a great retrieval activity helping pupils with metacognition and teaching them revision strategies that they can make use of across many of their other subjects.

Día de los Muertos gapfill fact file worksheet

(0)
This resource introduces pupils to Día de los Muertos (day of the dead), a Mexican festival celebrated on 2nd November, to help increase their cultural capital and knowledge of festivals celebrated in Spanish-speaking countries. The worksheet gets pupils watching a YouTube video and using active listening skills so that they can fill in the gaps on their fact file. For adaptive teaching pupils are provided with a missing words list which they can use to fill in the gaps or this can be omitted in order to challenge pupils further.

Voici ma salle de classe - Lessons 1, 2 & 3 - DYNAMO 1

In this set of lessons there are three lessons all designed to take pupils through describing their classroom. The lessons are loosely based on the Pearson Dynamo 1 textbook module 1, unit 2: Voici ma salle de classe. All resources have been created from scratch and follow the EPI method of language teaching as advocated by Dr Conti. This set of lessons contains a sentence builder to support and challenge learning and the lessons teach pupils the vocab needed for the topic as well as the grammar rules of adjectival positioning and agreement. It uses listening as modelling to help introduce pupils to the language and finishes with a writing task so that pupils can show progress. There is enough for at least three lessons however with the amount of content within the slides it may be possible (depending on the length of your lessons) to get more than three lessons out of it.
