MFL Numeracy Challenge - KS3 competition

The MFL Numeracy Challenge is a cross-curricular languages competition aimed at Key Stage 3 students of French, Spanish, and German. Fully resourced, this competition can be used by individual schools or a group of schools. Run across part of, or a whole, academic year, this competition gives students the opportunity to test their multiplication skills in the foreign language. This resource includes: Teacher’s guide Content lists in French, German, and Spanish Powerpoints to facilitate in-class practice and the actual competition (please note macros need to be enabled for these to work) Certificate template Record sheet. Please let me know if you spot any errors in any of the resources, so these can be amended!

Les Choristes KS3 Project (10 lessons)

This a 10 lesson project based on the film ‘Les Choristes’ Watching the film is divided up among the lessons. Topics covered include: describing photos (people), physical and personality descriptions, school rules, school facilities, describing relationships with teachers, and school clubs. I have used this with my year classes in the summer term as way of consolidating some of the vocabulary and grammar in KS3 as well as introducing some KS4 content. One or two exercises have been taken from other TES resources based on the film. There are also 4 sets of vocabulary that have been used as homework. It is likely that there are some typos, but I hope this resource is of some use!
