A 3 page word document which summarizes the entire 'soils' chapter. Aimed at Junior Cert Geography (Irish curriculum). Could easily be adapted to suit needs. Includes a map of Irish soil types, diagram of soil profile and a pie chart showing soil composition. Easy to follow and well laid out.

A one page word document worksheet based on expressions with the verb 'faire'. Includes cloze test style exercise, translation task and an exercise in which students must make the sentences negative.

A lesson based on the possessive adjectives in French. Firstly, I use a word document which displays the possessive adjectives in an easy to follow grid. I copy this and distribute to students for their folder/hard back copy or alternatively, it could be projected and taken down. The second document is a word doc worksheet on which the students can practice what they've learned by filling the missing possessive adjective into each sentence. This is a starter worksheet and so, I have noted on it whether the noun is masc/fem'/plural. The final document is another cloze test that could be used for homework, in class or for an exam. Students must insert the correct possessive adjective in the blank space and then must translate each sentence from French to English.

2 word document worksheets based on the passé composé (with etre and avoir). Both are translation exercises, one with 14 sentences and the other with 15 sentences. Sentences are in English and must be translated to French. Could be used in class, for assessment or for homework.

A 15 slide PPT which explains how to form the passé compose tense (verbs that go with avoir). Gives examples, lists the irregular past participles and has 2 gap fill exercises to assess students understanding of the topic. Attached also is a translation worksheet based on passé composé with avoir which could be used in class, for HW, as a peer exercise or as an exam. 24 sentences are in English and must be translated into French.

A 3 page word document which summarizes world climates with particular reference to hot desert climate, cool temperature oceanic climate and boreal climate. All information is presented in a comprehensive and easy to follow grid/graphic organizer. Also lists and gives a sample answer based on factors which influence climate. Has a link to a Youtube clip which reiterates soil formation key points and explains the different layers of soil in basic terms. Then explains the soil profile/layers of soil. Finally mentions Irish soils and discusses brown soils and podzol soils in detail. Contains some ‘to do’ and homework slides which can be adapted to suit the class/curriculum.
