There is an extension at the end of the sheet for students to practice putting the words in sentences. The second worksheet is like the concept of colour by numbers but instead it is colour by word class.

This Viking Quest is designed to be a cross-curricular link between humanities and maths. There are 30 word problems for the students to solve, covering addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are 3 rounds of questions which they must solve. Once they solve the questions they are given clues written in runes. They must solve these clues in order to stop a Viking attack on the Anglo-Saxons. All answers are provided as well as teacher instructions. Children can work independently or as part of a group. The questions are suited to a Year 4 or 5 class.
