Students are required to find mean, median, mode and range both from lists of data and from frequency tables. The last questions students need to think about and justify why a mean, median and range cannot be found. There are 3 per page to minimise photocopying.

The substitution exercise could be done in a lesson prior to the Quadratic Formula lesson to encourage students to think about the possible difficulties that arise when using the formula. The PPT leads you through when and why we use the formula but textbook references will need changing.
