The KWLH Technique is just one of many graphic organizers that help students organize their thinking for decision-making, problem solving and reflecting.
It’s a great method to activate prior knowledge and to help students organize information for learning and in the case of this resource improving their results.
This resource has the added benefit of being a great tool to provide evidence for a student’s reflections on their work. I enjoy showing it to parents/ guardians as it helps them understand how they can better support their student at home.
K - What I KNOW
W – What I WANT to know
L – What I LEARNT
H – HOW I learnt it
Booklet provides 4 reflections sheets, for different stages of a unit, which use the KWLH technique.
- Reflecting on the start of a new unit of work
- Reflecting on the current assessment task
- Reflecting on completion of an assessment item
- Reflecting on the next assessment item (how to improve)
This resource is perfect for higher Year 5-10.
