Part of a series to prepare students for the BTEC IT Unit 6 Assignment B&C, based on the knowledge I’ve built up running the course This unit of work uses RocketCake in order for students to produce their website, however lessons some of the practical lessons may also be useful if other methods of website production are being used This lesson aims to remind students about how to add HTML code (as it was covered a little in previous lessons) as well as teach them how to add additional CSS styles and JavaScript (including one slide on how to add an alert box in the free version) This lesson includes: demonstration (of creating a Sticky Header), some drag and drop exercises and then tasks for them to practice Files provided to save time in lesson and RCD files for the teacher to give an example of the completed tasks Challenge built into some of the slides/tasks Not all parts of the resource are shown in previews RocketCake Professional Edition required for some parts of the lesson (this is a relatively inexpensive upgrade for schools)
