Once students have practiced with PowerPoint and RocketCake, they can complete this comparison to help them to revise what they have learned and also think about which they might use for them out interactive multimedia product.
Questions based on the coursework requirements for LO3
Includes teacher presentation and students exeercise file plus suggested answers
Both in Microsoft Word format for flexibility!
A great follow up to “Using PowerPoint to make an Interactive Multimedia Product - R087 Practice Task”
NB. This is for the practice phase and students should not be directed to or supplied with it during the assessment phase!
A simple electronic ‘notebook’ for students to use as you teach R093
They can use it to write and highlight key content as well as write potential exam quesitons
Fully editable so they can add keywords and notes etc.
After completing visual identity practice I then move onto teaching students how to prepare images that they download off the web so they are suitable for a ‘main graphic’.
On the stages we work through setting up folders to keep them organised, download and store the images; change the resolution, take screenshots to evidence the steps taken; save the image for use later.
You will need to think of a practice idea as I use this sheet alongside a themed set of lessons preparing students for R094.
Note: Repurposing is mentioned though does not have detail about this as I have another dedicated resource for this.

Task sheet to help students practice Photopea
Promotes independence
Includes our opinion of the difficulty, some suggested tools and considerations
Includes Shop Front image (JPG)
Worksheet in Word format and example graphic in PowerPoint format
An exercise to complement my video on my YouTube channel
Students choose a graphic and state it’s audience then pick a new audience and write about how it would have to change in order to be suitable for the new audience
Scaffolded by way of a template with keywords and students can then use their notes to formulate a paragraph from their work
Challenge/extension: students can label an existing graphic with the keywords (example given)
Little activity that uses quite a few tools!
Would be useful if students had some knowledge but not a requirement!
It may be worth showing them the pen tool/pointing them to my YouTube channel if they find the sheet tricky!
Includes supporting presentation with a starter actitivity (creating one quickly in Paint), quick explanation of bitmap and vector and then a preview of what they will make. Also includes the video which is available on YouTube.
Created using version 21.
Created specifically to support lower-ability and SEN students access the higher mark bands by helping them to understand how to justify.
You do NOT need to purchase if you purchased the R094 Justification Lesson as it is included with this! https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12765155
Please note: The crib sheet is for the PRACTICE phase. Templates and cures should not be given to students to advantage them when completing the NEA!
Made for the practice phase of R097 but could be used for any lessons involving Clipchamp
PDF printable checklist where students can tick whether the technical skill has been used (with a clue to the part of Clipchamp where it is located).
Could be used for self-assessment, peer feedback or teacher assessment.
The checklist is not an expected list from any exam board - just a way to help promote as many skills as possible to students.
I used these when teaching “Job Roles in the Media Industry” alongside a research task (will put on TES soon!)
Helps students remember which parts are important.
Includes PDF of 2 per page and a PDF with 4 per page
Also include a little presentation slide with some rules I made up!
Cribsheet to help students when practising for R097 (Creative iMedia)
Also available with student tasksheet: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12741135
Two pages of questions which could be used for revision, homework or an assessment.
Resource also comes with printed answers and a teacher’s presentation which has each answer animated so you can go through them.
