This assessment starts at Phase 2 and tests through to Phase 6. Teachers just need to point at each sound and word and get children to read each one. If a child gets it right, it can be checked off. Previously, I have created one of these booklets for each child and placed in a folder for TAs to ‘pick up and go’ as interventions or early morning work.
