The Holocaust Unit
This is a group of 9 lesson which make up a unit on The Holocaust. This is pitched at pupils aged 13-15. These lessons start at looking at the build of Anti Semitism in Europe and goes up to the Liberation of Concentration Camps.
World War Two - Air Raid Shelters
This lesson looks into different types of shelters used during the Blitz during WW2. It has handy QR code links to information sheets for students.
Students are then tasked with designing their own shelter based on the types of shelters which were used during WW2.

This lesson looks at what is a genocide, what was the Holocaust and the History of Anti Semitism.

This is the seventh lesson in a series of lessons on the Holocaust. These lessons are aimed at children aged between 13-15. They match to a number of the Scottish E’s and Os for level 3.
This lesson looks at the structure of Auschwitz 1, pupils will label a map and then virtually walk around the camp.

The Holocaust: Lesson 10, Nuremberg Trials
This is the tenth lesson in a series of lessons on the Holocaust. These lessons are aimed at children aged between 13-15. They match to a number of the Scottish E’s and Os for level 3.
This lesson looks at what happened at the Nuremberg Trials. Pupils are asked to research the crimes of different Nazi Officers and decide what punishment is appropriate for them.

Atlantic Slave Trade: Lesson 7 - Punishments
This is the seventh lesson in a series of lessons on the Atlantic Slave Trade. These lessons are aimed at children aged between 13-15. They match to a number of the Scottish E’s and Os for level 3.
This lesson looks at how slaves were punished on plantations. This is split into different sections which pupils are given guided research for.

This is the Second lesson in a series of lessons on the Holocaust. These lessons are aimed at children aged between 13-15. They match to a number of the Scottish E’s and Os for level 3.
This lesson asks pupils a series of questions to understand whether they think people are born evil or not. This then moves in to looking at three key points in Adolf Hitlers life: his time at school, time in Vienna and his time in the army and it asks pupil to assess whether they think Hitler was born evil or not.

The Holocaust: Lesson 6, Steps to Final Solution
This is the sixth lesson in a series of lessons on the Holocaust. These lessons are aimed at children aged between 13-15. They match to a number of the Scottish E’s and Os for level 3.
This lesson looks at what different options the Nazi Party considered prior to introducing the Final Solution. It focusses on how The Holocaust is different to other genocides due to the infrostructure that was put in place to allow it to happen,

The Holocaust: Lesson 5, Jewish Ghettos
This is the fifth lesson in a series of lessons on the Holocaust. These lessons are aimed at children aged between 13-15. They match to a number of the Scottish E’s and Os for level 3.
This lesson looks at what life was like for Jews who were forced to live in Jewish Ghettos. Pupils are asked to research the conditions in 4 of the main Ghettos in Poland.

This is the eleventh lesson in a series of lessons on the Holocaust. These lessons are aimed at children aged between 13-15. They match to a number of the Scottish E’s and Os for level 3.
This lesson looks at how Nazis that escaped Germany were caught and what then happened to them.

World War Two - The Blitz
World War Two lesson which focuses on the Home Front and the Blitz. The lesson asks pupils to research areas of Britain which were targeted during the Blitz through helpful links. This is followed by a task where pupils decide if images of the Blitz would have been censored by the press in order to increase moral.
There is an additional finisher task of creating a news report with a BBC news template. This could stretch the lesson over two periods.
World War Two - Channel Islands
This lesson fits well into a series of lessons which looks at the Home Front during World War Two. This lesson looks into what life was like on the Channel Islands to highlight to pupils what life was like in in a part of Britain which the Nazis occupied.
Pupils will complete a series of puzzles to find out information about the different ways in which life changed for islanders.

This lesson looks at what life was like living in Nazi Germany, for men, women, young people and enemies of the state. It then asks pupils to question how the changes to different groups helped to allow for the Holocaust to happen.
