Students can often become confused by some of the Sperry findings, using this table alongside teaching the methodology allows students to breakdown the procedure, using their knowledge predict findings and compare this to the actual findings from Sperry. Comparing the predictions of students to the actual findings also gives teachers a chance to assess how well students understand the background and procedure of the study
