Speaking cards about France

Teaching French is not just about the language, it’s about all the cultural heritage that surrounds it. That said, finding ways to interest our students about geography, history and cultural heritage can be tricky. I have designed this resource with my class of teenagers in mind who need to know more about France. I would suggest you use it with a group of intermediate/advanced students as all the questions are in French. Don’t worry, the answers are provided to give your students all the autonomy they need to play. You can use these speaking cards as a starter to check how much they know about the topic and you can use the boardgame with some dice to roll. That’s up to you and your needs! The 45 cards are differentiated in terms of topic (15 green cards for basic general French culture, 15 orange cards for geography and history and 15 purple cards for cultural heritage) You can use them as such in small groups or pairs of students and you can use the mini-game provided. A good pair of scissors, a laminator and here you go!
