This is a resource I created whilst teaching Italian in Australia. It is a 34 pages long activity booklet to go with the Italian film “Se Dio Vuole” - “God Willing”. It would suit A Level students as the booklet is fully in Italian and deals with cultural topics, high level grammar topics - present conditional, past conditional for example - and has comprehension activities to go with different snippets of the film, as you progress through it. Each activity will have answers at the end of the booklet and also transcript where relevant. You can print as a booklet.
Pack of worksheets for a year 8 French class, for a total of 31 activities in reading and writing. All activities are about holidays as a topic.
The worksheets cover present, past and future tenses with a selection of vocab. Each section includes vocab at the beginning, for student help. This way, the resource can be used with classes of different abilities.
The document is 22 pages long ( 11 if double sided ) and includes space for students to write, where relevant. The resource is best used as cover work.
Answers are provided on a separate document.
Topics in detail:
countries
means of transport
accommodation
free time activities in the present tense
free time activities in the past tense
free time activities in the future tense.
Attached are both documents as PDF and also as a Word file, so that you can pick and mix the activities you want students to do. This is in case you want them just to do certain activities without following the order on the document.
A set of activities I usually use with KS4 - mostly year 10 - in October for Black History Month. It can easily cover 2 lessons if not 3.
Lesson 1 - information (in English) about Black History Month and why it is not celebrated in France - suitable for class discussion, comprehension questions at the end of the text . Group work can then be set - researching info about important French black people. Alternatively, you can set the research for homework.
Lesson 2 - all in French -interview with Kylian Mbappe - comprehension questions and revision of to be/ to have in the present tense. Revision of vocab about family and physical descriptions.
This is a mat I use with Year 9s in Italian, above all for writing activities in class - not tests-. I have a couple of copies per table, they are printed out as an A3 and laminated so I can use them for the whole academic year.
This way they can look back to the content they need if they don’t remember words from year 7 and 8. In the booklets we currently use, there is no such support, hence why an extra help mat.
I use this mostly in lower ability classes. If they don’t remember something I just need to tell them we’ve done that word in year 7 and the word category or the topic -adjective, key verb, means of transport…-
I have uploaded both the Pdf version and the Word document version in case you want to adapt it. The Tes preview is not the best but everything is well laid out in the documents.
