Exam technique guides tailored to the Edexcel A GCSE Geography specification. They include:
How to… answer essay questions
How to tackle both the 8 and 12 mark questions, including top tips, a breakdown of command words, assessment objectives and advised structures to use.
How to… interpret figures
How to interpret satellite images and climate graphs, and extract the relevant information for use in shorter and longer mark questions, including modelled examples of this.
How to… practice geographical skills
How to use both graphs and OS maps in an exam, including how to embed this data into an answer.
These guides have been designed in line with the Edexcel A GCSE Geography specification, but may have transferable uses at KS3 (particularly geographical skills) or across other exam boards in some instances. They have been formulated from my own classroom teaching experience, as well as recommendations from examiners, consultants and the exam board themselves.
