EAL: The Water Cycle
A super simple version of how the water cycle works.
EAL: Sport
A selection of PPTs showcasing different sports we play and watch. PPTs can be expanded on with videos of the different sports or turning different sports into research topics. Furthermore, students can be asked to demo the sports (there are a few slides that ask for this).
EAL: Countries and Continents
3 PPTs detailing different nations flags, the continents we find different nations on and an A-Z Quiz. There is also information on the size of countries by population and land.
PPTs can be used in a different ways - as a lesson or as a quiz.
EAL: Clothes
2 PPT on clothes. One details different types of clothes we wear. The other gets students to think about what they would wear in different situations - this can be turned into an activity.
EAL: Transport
PPT on different transport options. Leads into an activity to decide the best way to travel between the UK and France. This lesson is based off the Top Gear Amphibious Cars episode where they cross the Channel in cars.

3 PPT about the following topics:
Jobs in hospitals
Medical tests - for example a blood test
How you can injure yourself
The PPTs also explain different organs and where to find them in your body. There are also sections on how you can damage your organs.
Olympic History
PPT showcasing how the Olympics began in Greece.
PPT explains how we divide up sections of history and shows what products we get from Greece.
PPT also shows events held in the ancient Olympics
EAL: Weather Idioms
PPT showing idioms related to weather.
Can be used to help explain idioms in general or how idioms can be divided into different sections.
Can be used as a jumping off point for students to research idioms and create pictures of them.
EAL: Past Tense
PPT designed to help students understand the past tense using a various definitions, questions and activities.
EAL: Pronouns
PPT designed to help students understand pronouns using a various definitions, questions and activities.
EAL: The Weather
PPT on the weather.
Slides 2-6: Each slide will show either the weather word or a picture of the weather.
If the word is displayed- encourage students to draw a picture of the word.
If the picture is displayed- encourage students to guess the word for the weather displayed.
Slide 7: Each picture appears on a mouse click. Encourage students to guess which weather appears.
Slide 8-12: Use the sentence strap to help students associate weather with different clothes.
EAL: The 4 Seasons
PPT on the 4 seasons.
The opening slide has is a picture of a tree in the 4 different seasons. Encourage students to say what they see in the picture. Click to reveal the question. Seasons is the answer.
The remainder of the PPT works on a simple click and appear method.
With Slides 3, 5, 7 and 9 encourage students to workout which season it might be before revealing the answer and which months they occur.
With Slides 4,6,8 and 10 encourage students to answer the questions- give your own examples to help students think of their own answers. The second question on each of there slides appears on a click, click twice for 3 pictures to appear to help them answer the question and help link seasons to different weather patterns.
EAL: Age and Birthdays
3 PPTs aimed at helping students understand and use language regarding their age and which month or year they are born.
All the PPTs have animations which work on a click of the mouse- they are usually the answer to the questions posed. So give students time to think about their answers before revealing them.
Feel free to alter any dates or ages in the PPTs to fit your needs.
EAL: Icebreaker- Find Someone Who...
Series of questions which require students to find other students who have done the activity on the PPT slide.
Encourage students to ask extension questions about the activities were possible- this can be teacher led as well.
Questions can be adapted to different parts of the school term (after half term, Christmas break etc).
Feel free to adapt the questions to suit your students lives.
EAL: Manners
2 PPTs about manners. It is titled towards Chinese students. However it can be easily adapted to other countries.
Manners PPT contains a poster making activity at the end. This then works as the starter for Manners Speech PPT.
Manners Worksheet can be used for students who finish their poster early. Or as a stand alone activitiy.
EAL: Celebrations
PPT covering different celebrations in the UK.
Chinese New Year is included as a contrast with the UK.
Encourage students to think about celebrations in their own cultures/religions/countries which are similar or different to the ones shown in the PPT. Also get students to think about other things we do for these celebrations.
EAL: Past and Present
2 PPTs detailing different past and present usage of words.
Encourage students to think of other things can break, be kicked, stepped on, lose, spilt or hit.
Also encourage students to act out the examples.
Both PPTs have a dialouge and an activity in them as well.
EAL: Work and Jobs
PTT to encourage students to think about what job they may want to do in the future.
My Job PPT- aimed at grade 4 and 5 students.
Job PPT- aimed at grade 2 and 3 students.
Feel free to mix and match the 2 PPTs to suit your needs.
EAL: Safe and Dangerous
PPT detailing different situations which are potentially dangerous. Encourage students to explain why the situations are dangerous or how they can be prevented.
EAL: Family
2 PPTs detailing different words associated with families. Contains call back questions and activities for students to do.
