This is the whole series of power point slides that I made and taught to Y13 biologists on the structure of the nephron, role of the nephron in osmoregulation and the role of ADH in osmoregulation. Included is the whole topic on a power point presentation, exam questions and mark schemes and student hand out diagrams.

Included are three lessons on the mass transport of substances in plants, following the AQA A-Level Biology Specification Reference 3.3.4.2. Lesson 1: Transport in the Xylem Lesson 2: Transport in the Phloem Lesson 3: Investigations and Exam Practice They include suggested tasks that allow students to go above and beyond the specification to develop their skills in reading academic literature and carrying out their own research.

Here is the powerpoint that I used to teach the digestion and absorption topic to Year 12 biology students. It works through all aspects of the content and has progress check points throughout. The in-class assignment we completed is also included.

The following two lessons are intended to cover aerobic and anaerobic respiration at KS3 or KS4 Lesson 1: aerobic respiration Lesson 2: anaerobic respiration The lessons can be taught to a high ability KS3 group and have tasks suitable for grade 4 and above at KS4. They have a range of tasks, some which are literacy based and others which analyse data. The lessons cover aerobic respiration in humans and anaerobic respiration in humans and microorganisms, in addition to some slides about oxygen debt.
